Fifth Meeting of the Patient Advisory Board

After a longer break, during which extensive development work took place, the Patient Advisory Board came together for a meeting on 1 August. As the employees of the Technical University of Berlin had to move out of the TEL building due to water damage, we met in the ‘new’ rooms of the Heinrich Hertz Institute, where the assistance system is currently being further developed. The focus of the meeting was to put the prototype through its paces, identify weaknesses and make suggestions for the optimisation of all components – as was to be expected, there were still plenty of aspects that could be improved before we go into the field! We were also able to review the accompanying study documents (study information, consent forms) again to ensure that they are generally easy to understand. We would like to thank all members of the advisory board, Maren, Beate, Marianne, Peter and Tobias, for their commitment and cooperation! We have learned a great deal in the course of our collaboration and hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have.

Although our work with the Patient Advisory Board has officially come to an end with this fifth meeting, we have agreed to continue working together during the evaluation phase and to try out participatory research approaches in which we want to analyse research data together with the Advisory Board.
